I would like to extend my heartiest congratulations to Mdm Deborah Lee (Chairperson of SAPTA 2017) and her team in taking over the baton from Mr Tan Yan Kit and his team. I also want to thank Mr Tan Yan Kit and his team for faithfully serving the school for the last 2 years.
I cannot emphasize more the importance of parent-school partnership especially during the early years of our Saints’ education as this is when they form their earliest impression of their educational experience in school and their perception of learning for the many years to come. The bible teaches us the role we should play as parents and significant adults that “You shall teach them to your sons, talking of them when you sit in your house and when you walk along the road and when you lie down and when you rise up (Deuteronomy 11:19) and train up a child in the way he should go, Even when he is old he will not depart from it (Proverbs 22:6).”
As the school tries her very best to nurture our Saints to be Servant Leaders who bring life to the nation, SAPTA plays an instrumental role in collaborating and supporting the school in delivering a holistic and unique educational experience to all of our Saints to achieve her vision. I am thankful to witness how SAPTA has garnered the support of many parents to come together to organise meaningful events such as the Children’s Day Carnival and Teacher’s Day Lunch for our Saints boys and teachers. SAPTA, serving with compassion and care for everyone in our community, continues to use the SAPTA Cares fund wisely to bless our boys who come from the less privileged families.
SAPTA exists to bless the key stakeholders in our community and to bring the people together. SAPTA has started a make a more concerted effort to equip parents with parenting skills and to bring the people together to form a vibrant support network. I would like to encourage all parents to come on board and work alongside with SAPTA as we build a strong and dynamic school-home partnership to teach and train our Saints to be Servant Leaders who will wake hearts and make lives positively.
I am confident that SAPTA under the leadership of Mdm Deborah Lee will continue to be the advocate for the school to help all parents better understand and support the school in achieving her vision, mission and values. I look forward to a closer and more supportive partnership from all parents to Synergize to Serve and Soar to nurture our Saints to be steadfast Servant Leaders for all the days of their lives!
Up and On!
