SAPTA has been a long-standing partner of St Andrew’s Secondary School. The organisation is an integral support to staff, parents and students.
Over the years, our partnership with SAPTA has only grown stronger. As more parents from the secondary school come on board, SAPTA’s involvement with the school has grown steadily.
SAPTA has contributed to the school’s student welfare efforts, by organising the annual food and funfair as a post-examination activity. Students participate in novel games and savour the delicious food. Funds raised at the event go towards other programmes in support of the school.
Through the Self Study programme, parent volunteers offer their time to supervise boys in their preparation for the National Examinations. SAPTA funds provide food and nourishment for the boys.
SAPTA believes in supporting parents in raising their sons to be men of good character. We are thankful for how it has helped to foster links between the school and parents. We appreciate SAPTA’s collaborative efforts with the school in organising workshops to help parents hone their parenting skills. This year, a group of dads from SAPTA initiated Fathers@ SA, a programme aligned to the Dads for Life movement. These fathers meet regularly in the mornings to encourage one other and share ideas on fatherhood.
We would like to express our heartfelt appreciation to Ms Deborah Lee and her team. Their good work in partnering the school and nurturing the boys makes St Andrew’s a Home of Servant Leaders.
