Parents Learning Festival (PLF) 2016

SAPTA iSONY DSCs proud to be bringing you the Parents’ Learning Festival 2016! We encourage strong participation from all parents as this will no doubt teach parents the secrets to knowing what our boys are learning in school, techniques of teaching our boys, how the boys can study more effectively and to make them even better students! Details of the festival are set out below:

Cost per participant:   $10 (SAPTA Member) / $20 (non-SAPTA Member)

–       Printed materials of the workshop (materials will not be uploaded on school website)

–       Light refreshments provided

2.         Payment

–  Drop your cheque (payable to “ST ANDREW’S PTA”) into the PLF 2016 Box located at the  General Office

–  Indicate your son’s name, class and e-ticket no. at the back of the cheque

 

3.         Attendance

–  Proceed to the counter (at the school porch) on Saturday, 5 March 2016 to register your attendance and collect your writing materials

 

If you are not already a SAPTA member, it is still not too late to sign up as a SAPTA member to enjoy the attractive discount on the cost of this festival (as well as many other perks of being a SAPTA member). All you have to do is  submit the completed membership form (downloadable from Sapta New Membership Form 2016) with your  membership fee, together with your payment for Parents’ Learning Festival 2016 to enjoy the discount.

Parents Learning Festival 2015

As in previous years, we are holding the Annual General Meeting in conjunction with the Parents Learning Festival, an annual event run jointly by SAPTA and St Andrew’s Junior School for parents to learn more about the teaching methodology of the various subjects taught in school.

The Parents Learning Festival will be held in the morning followed by our Annual General Meeting at 12.00pm. Registration for the Annual General Meeting will start at 11:30am in front of the SASS Auditorium.

We would like to invite all members attending to join us for lunch at the SAJS Canteen prior to the start of the meeting.

Children’s Day Carnival 2014 – SAINTS WORLD CUP!

This year, the SAPTA food and fun fair, will be held on Thursday, 2nd October, 2014 during school hours. Timed just after the PSLE examinations, the theme for this year’s carnival is SAINTS WORLD CUP!

Like 2013, this year’s carnival will once again be raising funds for SAPTA Cares, which was launched last year on Children’s Day. The funds raised in last year’s carnival is currently supporting FAS Boys in the Extend-A-Care Program. The Extend-A-Care Program managed by SAJS extends a helping hand to boys who are in dire need of after-school care due to their family circumstances.

This year our organizing committee is truly excited to create an unforgettable Children’s Day Celebration with the World Cup theme knowing that World Cup was just over and most of our boys are ardent soccer fans. We will have lots of games related to soccer and also exciting food stalls offering cuisines from countries that qualified for the 2014 World Cup.

A wonderful Christmas Carnival in School

We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to all parents who have contributed towards our SAPTA Christmas Carnival 2013. Your ideas, your creativity, your hard work, donations and sponsorships have made this carnival a success and put many a smile on our Junior Boys faces on November 12th. Most importantly with your support, we have managed to raise $5800 for SAPTA Cares. Thank you!

Launch of SAPTA Cares on Children’s Day

SAPTA Cares is a fund dedicated to support our most needy FAS (Financial Assistance Scheme) Boys. Born from a realization that there is a need for a sustainable fund to support our boys instead of raising funds on a ad-hoc basis, SAPTA decided no fax no direct deposit payday loans to create SAPTA Cares.

Funded each year with a portion of the profits from our annual SAPTA Carnival and new Membership Subscriptions, we hope this will be an initiative that will endure the test of time and continue to reach out to future cohorts of precious Saints each year.

CHRISTMAS IN SCHOOL!

christmas-greeting-card-5This year SAPTA”s annual food and fun fair, will be held on Tuesday, 12th November during school hours. Timed just before the school year ends, the theme for this yearâ??s carnival is CHRISTMAS IN SCHOOL!

Unlike previous years, this yearâ??s carnival is aimed at raising funds for a new SAPTA initiative called SAPTA Cares.

SAPTA Cares is a fund dedicated to support our most needy FAS boys. For 2014, the fund will be channelled to support FAS Boys in the schoolâ??s Extend-A-Care Program. The Extend-A-Care Program was started by SAJS in August this year to care for boys who are in dire need of after-school care due to g postmessage propecia smiley online their family circumstances.
